Re: AAOA QUESTION

I would trust what your reports from the actual CRA's say.

$18000 Discover IT / $6000 Chase Freedom / $5000 DCU Visa / $3900 Fifth Third / $2500 Capital One Quicksilver / $2000 AMEX Blue Cash Everyday / $500 Chase Slate

Re: AAOA QUESTION

I may be wrong, but I was always under the impression that CK used average age of OPEN accounts, whereas the credit bureaus reported out the average age of all accounts. For me, that is a huge difference.

+1  I've heard the same thing - CK only uses open accounts to calculate you AAoA.

Starting Scores - Mid 500s - 10/2013

EX 706 (FICO 9/15) | EQ 710 (FICO 9/15) | TU 716 (FICO 9/15)

Quicksilver $12.8K | Freedom $1.5k | Discover It $11.5k | VS $1.2k | AMEX BCE $10k | Fidelity AMEX $10k | US Cash+ $9k | Citi DC $6.6k

Re: AAOA QUESTION

Every TL on your report is included in your AAoA with the exception of Public Records and Collections....also...some AU accounts may not be included.

(EX08 - 654) --- (TU08 - 643) --- (EQ08 - 667) --- (EQ04 - 676)

Not strange at all.  As indicated above CK provides AAoOA, not AAoA since it only factors in open accounts.  The CK site itself even indicates that it only considers open accounts if you read the text in the Age of Accounts section of your credit report card.

If you're ever unsure with any source you can always calculate AAoA yourself.  I'd recommend convert account ages to months to do so.
