I just got approved for a Gold AMEX about 2 weeks ago, and to my pleasant surprise, AMEX did not do a HP to approve me for the card since I already had another card (BCE) with them!
Now, I saw my latest Experian CR update from 2 days ago, and it doesn't show the Gold AMEX account at all! Is it just a matter of time before it shows up?
I opened 8 accounts in the past year prior to the new AMEX, and am itching to get one more card before entering the garden. I wonder if this is my golden opportunity before my 9th account shows up, or is it normal not to see the new AMEX card on the CR since I had a previous one?

In most cases, a lender may take up to 2 months (max) to report a newly-opened account. ![]()
OP, this thread discusses AMEX's credit reporting: https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/How-soon-can-AMEX-report-a-new-account/td-p/5008180
My own Amex cards were slow to start reporting as well, but in two or three months they did show up. ![]()
Many people like this, since during the first couple of months you're usually working on earning a sign up bonus and often usage is higher than it normally would be.

Got mine 2 months ago and it's still not reporting. I think AMEX takes quite a while.

Based on your signature, 2 statements have not cut yet. I would wait until the end of November; and if the account has not shown up by then, call AMEX. ![]()
The last time I got an Amex card was a couple years ago. It took a little over 100 days before it appeared on my reports. Other folks on the forum explained to me that this was common for Amex, though some people do see their cards appear a bit sooner.
it won't show until after your 2nd statement.
