So, I filled in the info on the site, there are 3 steps, step one: basic info. The application won't go past that, it just gives a progress icon that spins forever. Computer glitch or issue? Should I start again?
Basic stupid question, but I don't know at what point they actually run my info. It's going on 10 minutes
Nevermind. I gave it 15 minutes...sigh. I'll try again another day. This happened once before, I'm not sure what to make of it, any ideas?
i applied for a charge card on monday and when it came time to submit I sat there and stared at the spinning circle for 5minutes then decided to check my email and sure enough I was approved even though the application was stuck on the spinning circle. I would call amex if you run into issues so they can complete it for you.
I didn't even get that far. It asked for my basic info on step one, there's two more steps to get through and I can't progress through the application so there's zero chance I'm waiting on an approval since I can't even finish the application. I waited about 2o minutes total, no luck. I'll try again another day and if that doesn't work I'll apply by phone.
Thank you though for your reply! I've never had an application not load fully

I have heard that there is a timeout countdown to protect against fraud. Did you take a long time to fill out the first page? Also It could be an issue with your web browser or Internet connection ( bad luck that an connection interruption happened at the worst possible second?)

I sort of had the same thing when I apped this last Monday. I had my smartphone sitting next to me while I apped, and after I hit submit, it took about 10 seconds for my phone to go *bling!* And I looked, and it was an email from AMEX....It took another 45 seconds of a spinning circle to show up on my computer. I was glad my phone saved me the 45 extra high tension seconds of hell. LOL
Hopefully it will not result in a hard pull. Good Luck
hey the same thing happend to me, you have to call them give them your ss# and they will see if your app went throught. mine didnt and i applied again and boom approved ;] gl youll get it

Not unless you consider 30 seconds a lot of time. It asks for minimal info in the first step, it took just about 20 seconds to fill out, I read the bottom of the screen, and hit continue. I highly doubt it timed out in 30 secomds
If you have not gone past step 1 , i would try again in a different browser
