I'm looking at the soft INQs on my EQ credit report. I got AR'd by almost everybody in either November or December! Fortunately, there's been no AA at all. But, I also noticed an AR for a "First Data Solutions". I don't recognize them. I googled them, but there's no list of clients on their website for me to link them to.
Any ideas? I know that it's not BoA or NFCU.
I got it figured out! I called an asked, LOL!
First Data Solutions does the processing for NavyFed's online bill pay. Apparently, they softed me (coded as an account review) when I signed up for the bill pay service. A representative told me that the credit pull was necessary to "verify my identitiy".
I still think this is strange, though. I'll need to read the "fine print" again, but it's sort of creepy that a third party IT supplier would have permissible puprose for a credit pull, because I checked "yes" to the bill pay service with NFCU. Any opinions on this are welcome.
Do you own a business? Does it list the reason for the soft pull? PRM = promotional
There is a First Data that provides payment processing services, that business owners can utilize.
I'm not a business owner. The soft INQ was coded as "AR" for account review. I don't recognize this at all.
I've seen AR INQs for BoA & FIA card services (on behalf of BoA). I've seen an AR INQ for NFCU (2 credit cards & a car loan), and for GEMB (Walmart).
The only other open accounts that I have are as follows: Target store card, & Juniper/Barclays B&N MasterCard.
Oh, and I have a studen loan through AES (federal stafford loan).

Bloomingdale's online bill pay service does the same thing.
