Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is where this question belongs. I've been checking my credit karma for the past 2 years and today I received this notification.
"Account Removed From Report.
@Anonymous Looks like CK got it wrong must be a glitch that or inaccurate reporting.
Did it say it came off of TransUnion or Equifax or both? Do you have an Experian account is it still there? You can make a Wallet hub account to double check TransUnion.

"Account Removed From Report.
Closed accounts are usually removed from your report after seven years. Once they're removed, the account details will no longer affect your credit score.Between April 19, 2020 and April 27, 2020, your credit card with CAPITAL ONE / BEST B was removed from your credit report."I got the same exact message this month as well on both Transunion and Equifax
how long ago did best buy move from cap1 to citi?
To me it looks like the old pre-citi accounts are falling off....
I used to have a Cap1 Best Buy card, and in September 2013 it was reported closed on my credit reports and a new one for Citi was opened (but the "date opened" for the citi account was the same as the "date opened" for the prior cap1 account).
As of last week, the old closed Cap1/BestBuy account was still on TU and EQ (but was never on EX for some reason).
A few days ago I got a MyFICO alert that a retail account got removed from my reports this week, but the alert doesn't specify what account it was. I'll be able to update my Credit Karma report tomorrow and should see it then...
After reading this thread, I'm starting to suspect that Cap1 has decided this week to purge all their old BestBuy accounts from the credit bureaus.

Total SL: $78kJust got my Credit Karma report, and yes, my old Cap1 Best Buy account was removed a few days ago.
Being the oldest good-standing account on my reports, I thought I would be sad to see it get deleted, but somehow my FICO actually went up 4 points when it got deleted.
