Hi everyone!
I would like to ask about something I noticed today while checking the Recent Changes section in Credit Karma.
I see the following messages: Remark Code Removed from Bank of America account/Discover Bank account/Capital One account/Citicards account/American Express account/ PNC Bank account (This is a car loan that is paid off).
When I display the tabs, it says "Between June 16th and June 20th, 2024 the following remarks were removed from this account: Credit card.
In the case of the car loan from PNC, I see this under the tab: "The following remarks were removed from this account: Closed or paid account/ Zero balance Auto.
Has it happened to someone else? Is it normal?
Thanks for you input 👍

you can check your actual reports to make sure everything is reporting accurately, but I wouldn't worry too much about remark codes that look like they're identifying in nature, they just seem to be saying what kind of account something is
Perfect, thanks for your reply 👍
My CK shows the exact same "Credit card" remark added to 20 accounts on EQ, and a creditor name change from JPMCB-CARD SERVICE to JPMCB-CARD SERVICES.
This just happened to me on credit karma for my equifax report. Every single one of my accounts removed a remark code. It didn't affect my score it anything but I'm curious too as to why.
I was looking up the same thing and came across your same question/complaint. My question is why would the remark "credit card" need to be removed. I'm looking to understand the circumstances. Did they remove those remarks because they are redundant information?
