Account listings on CR's and FICO

Has anyone ever run across a situation where an account was showing up on your hard copy of your credit reports, but not showing up on your FICO report?  I have a Midland account that is not listed on my FICO report, but is showing up on the hard copy of my credit report from Equifax.  I DV'd this CMRRR with Midland back in 12/07 and they never replied, yet I just recently disputed this with Equifax online in mid March '08 and they just verified the account.  Should I send letter off to EQ for MOV or deletion of account since Midland did not provide validation?  Should I also send letter to Midland informing them they are violating FCRA 623?  Thanks for all your help FICO.

Re: Account listings on CR's and FICO

What do you mean by "not showing on your FICO report"?

Do you mean your EQ report you pulled from myFICO?

FICO isn't a CRA, they jsut provide you with reports from the 3 CRA.

Re: Account listings on CR's and FICO

Yes, my EQ report I pulled from MyFico does not show this account, but the hard copy I pulled from EQ shows the account.  I know that MyFico isn't a CRA, but why would an account show on one report but not the other, if it's pulling the report directly from EQ?

Was there a period of time between when you pulled the report from the CRA and when you pulled it from MyFICO?  Is it possible it may have been removed, but your CRA report is older and doesn't reflect that?

Re: Account listings on CR's and FICO

I pulled my FICO EQ report in February '08, and the hard copy of my CR in the same month.  I've been trying to get this removed since Midland has not validated the debt, which I DV'd them in Dec.'07, but continues to report and EQ verified after I pulled my hard copy report in Feb.'08 doing an online dispute.  Just got reply this weekend from EQ that the account was verified.  Smiley Mad

The same month?  CR's can change minute by minute, let alone month by month.

If you pulled your MyFICO report after you pulled the CRA report, but haven't pulled your CRA report again in the meantime, you really don't know if the account is still there.

Yes, EQ said they verified, but you never know what actually happened.  Maybe they verified and then the CA decided to delete anyway.

This is why daily pull services like TC are great when you're repairing and rebuilding.
