Your best and safest best is to call them. Which creditor is it?

I also would like to add an account to my credit report -- it's from the early 90s, and would tremendously help my account age. It reports to one credit reporting agency, but I would also like it to report to the other credit reporting agencies. Do people in our situation contact the old creditor directly to make that request? Is there a form letter one should use to make that request?
Try calling them. I take it the account has been closed for a number of years? Wouldn't hurt to call. But it is a very long shot and I really haven't seen anyone try to add an old account like that. Also, good accounts only stay on your CR for 10 yrs from the date you paid it off or closed it.
