Adding accounts to my credit reports

Hi all, I'm new to all this and I just found out my credit scores: Equifax: 731, Experian: 792, still trying to get the transunion... So, overall I'm happy. I will do a goodwill letter to get a single late payment removed (it was truly a mixup in the mail). BUT... The two reports are missing credit lines. I have two credit cards. One is listed, but the other (a joint account with my husband) is not. Should I add the joint account or just let it be on my husband's credit report? That is, will it help my score and therefore be worth it to add? It seems like my principal bank doesn't show up on the reports. So, no old car loan, no credit card. Do some banks not report to credit agencies? Are there any other things I should add? I thought I saw a list of things to add on this site, but now I can't find it. Thanks for your help.

Re: Adding accounts to my credit reports

If I were in your shoes, I'd heed the old adage, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Once your credit scores pass the mid-700s, there's really not much tangible benefit in raising them higher.

That was what I was thinking, I guess we'll see what my husband's score is and decide from there. Thanks for responding.

Re: Adding accounts to my credit reports

I have an installment loan that I would love to get added to EQ and TU (only reported to EX). Both EQ and TU say they are not in the business of adding items to credit reports and the only way to get an item included is to have the creditor submit it directly. The creditor is unwilling to do so.

Anyone had any success in trying to get something listed that isn't submitted directly by the creditor?
