Address Reporting on Joint Accounts?

DW wife and I have 2 Chase CC accounts listed as "joint", we obviously both live at different addresses and every cycle my address is changed to hers on all 3 CR's (She is the primary account holder on those CC's). I change it back with the CRA's and the cycle repeats itself all over again. Called Chase and spoke to manager and he thought there was a way to report separate addresses for both of us and submitted a request.. That was 2 months ago and still no resolution. Has anyone ever had the same issue.

We also have 1 AU CC account with Macy's that is in her name as well. Thanks!-Justin

Re: Address Reporting on Joint Accounts?

To stop the issue, remove yourself as a joint holder.

The tradeline should stay on your CR.   The address wil stop changing.

Re: Address Reporting on Joint Accounts?

How does one go about getting "removed" from liability on an account other than by closing the account?

Why would a creditor want to sever their ability to come after either party in the event of default?

Re: Address Reporting on Joint Accounts?

Robert, I was told by chase that removing yourself from the joint account is as easy as signing a release form.

jfaltus1 - is that what you are going to do?

RobertEG - sometimes creditors will do that - remove one person if they both sign off on it.
