AfterPay

Good morning all.  Who can tell me more about afterpay?  Assuming I make all the payments on time, how will this affect my credit?  I'm also talking about a relatively small amount, $200-$300.

Re: AfterPay

Good morning boxermom,

Afterpay splits your payments in four and only soft pulls to verify you are who you say you are. They don't report to credit unless you default.

Re: AfterPay

It is considered an alternative credit which is sometimes given as a reason for mainstream cc companies rejecting you.  It generally shows up on one of the alternative credit reports like sagestream.  It does not appear on the big 3.  However, if you do Klarna, which is similar, they will do a HP.

I have used klarna many times for the 4 pay installments and never once have they done a HP or reported to the bureaus. I have seen the SP on my CRs.
