Alright .. I'm stuck. Ive sent out PFD's CMRRR to both Alliance one and Capital One. From here I also blasted out emails to both companys with PFD's included. I got one email back from the vice president of alliance one...of all people...

I am not sure how you ended up with me but I will give it my best shot. Generally, if it is a charge that you dispute you have a very limited time with the credit cards to challenge. If you claim that it is not you but a fraudulent transaction you can still challenge that although each card company has different rules. If it is something you do not dispute incurring then that leads down a different path.
Generally when a company passes it on to an agency they cut all ties and make the consumer go through the collection agency. If you do not dispute and pay in full it will bounce your credit score up. You will see it completely off in seven years from the date of incurring the debt. But it will matter less and less as time goes on.
If you think it is fraudulent (as in ID theft), then you have to go through the credit agency and work through them. They will take it back to the company and work to get it straight. If you incurred it but found it not to be what you thought it should be and you didn’t challenge within the time period established by the credit card company, then you may want to consider paying it and going on.
You may have other remedies through courts but that will be determined by your agreement with the credit card company and your particular states’ laws.
I hope that helps.
