Amazon Prime Store Card Reporting

Hey, so last month I opened an Amazon Prime Store Card. I have been paying mostly after every purchase, or worst case, every week. The problem is, it takes several days for them to credit my account from my payments and they seem to continuously report my balances to the credit bureaus. Like, every couple of days, I get a notice from myFICO about a balance change on one of my accounts for the Prime Store card. Is this normal? I've never had a credit card that reported like this, they have all pretty much exclusively reported after monthly statements cut. It is very annoying.

Same thing happened to me and yes, I was very annoyed! I immediately PIF over 2 weeks ago but they have yet to report a zero balance. Funny how they are slow to update that.

I suggest stop paying weekly, and most definitely after every purchase. Honestly, that can be annoying. Make payments monthly or at most, twice a month. Enjoy your grace period. Why are you treating the CC like a debit card?

It's because I have a low limit. They only approved me for $400. I have been spending at least that amount every 7-10 days since I opened the card. I want to take advantage of the 5% back, so I have to continuously pay it down. It won't be as big of a deal after October, but I'm in the middle of a transcontinental move so I am spending like crazy now.

As of lately, I don't always see the problem with the "lender" updating, (although that sometimes can be the case)

I have been finding more than not, Experian (in my case) has been late in updating what was reported to them.

At least this is what I am experiencing.

Re: Amazon Prime Store Card Reporting

I  would agree with the sugestion about asking for a credit limit increase at somepoint in time. When I had the non prime Amazon store card I was given a very low credit limit as well. After six months to a year later I logged into my account and asked for a CLI and it was a soft pull.

Yes, that is definitely the plan.
