Amex off cycle reporting

Does anyone know if Amex will report off cycle? I called the Customer Service number and just confused the guy, but he kept saying not until the statement cuts, but I was wondering if others had a super-secret number or way to get them to report early. I'm refinancing my house and if I can get them to report then I'll be at AZEO when the rate locks.

Re: Amex off cycle reporting

I've seen several posts where Amex did off cycle report, but they had to talk to CSR in that department.

I'm currently experiencing cabbage brain syndrome and cannot remember department's name.

I've also read a few posts where same process resulted in no off cycle reporting.

Hopefully someone will chime in and let you know who you need to talk to to see if they would be willing to do it.

Re: Amex off cycle reporting

I was able to get a mid cycle report by calling their Credit Bureau Unit at (800) 874-2717

My reason was that I changed my billing date, which extended my cycle and caused them not to report that month, and they were fine with it. I imagine they would definitely do it for something more serious like a mortgage

They don't generally do it, but have the ability. Ask to speak with the reporting department.

I had a glitch where they reported waay more than I actually had on my statement. they corrected with a mid cycle.

Re: Amex off cycle reporting

This is going back a few years, but I believe I was able to get them to successfully off-cycle report once.  I do recall it taking several calls/attempts before finally seeing the update to the CRAs, though.
