Amount of debt showed is wrong.

No other way to put it, its read the same amount of debt when i signed up.  I signed up after my divorce year and 1/2 ago to track and see how my credit rebuilding is going, going well.  But now back to amount of debt, its always shown i have about 22k in debt. I rent, i own my car, i have 3 credit cards and one signature loan all in total about under 5k on cards and NOTHING ELSE. No joint accounts left , all new banks and credit cards.

I should be due for another full report so ill look over that but i cant figure out why this number is showing up, any ideas?.

What are you referring to?  Alwasy provide details and don't assume that we know such things.  Are you using myFICO's monitoring service?

Re: Amount of debt showed is wrong.

Sorry, yes using monitoring service, under dashboard "fico score simulator" highlighted action says pay down 880 of your total revolving open account balances of 21k. I have 3 cards with caps of 3k, 3k and 1 k, nothing else open or paying on

Re: Amount of debt showed is wrong.

I believe the simulator is using the information from the last 3B pull for calculating debt.

Have you purchased another 3B pull from myFICO, that is the only way update the scores other than the Fico8 I believe.

For the longest time I was watching my Fico8 change and improve, the rest of the scores were stationary and it told me the amount I needed to pay monthly of my old debt.

Hopefully that helps.

Re: Amount of debt showed is wrong.

Creditkarma.com can be very helpful for monitoring things like this. It doesn't give you a FICO score, and the Vantage score it gives you has limited value. But it does provide a fair amount of other information (from Equifax and TransUnion, but not Experian), including balances. And it's updated weekly. (And it's free!)
