Anderson Fin /Bloom

Has anybody dealt with these people, my score just dropped 10pts because they have somehow bought an old debt of mine that is well over ten years old but now it shows todays date. I was advised that the debt was so old that it would hinder me if I paid it now, well that is coming back to bite me in the rear. Has anybody dealt with these people? I am a month from buying a house and now this could be devastating! Any help?

CRTP is 7-7.5 years from DOFD. Do you have an old CR that shows this account being reported by the OC or another CA that shows DOFD? Do you know what DOFD or DOLA is?

If past CRTP then it should not be on your report. For my two that were showing the wrong DOFD on EQ(CSC) I disputed based on "FCRA Compliance Date" and they were removed.

Re: Anderson Fin /Bloom

sidwinder,
Thank you for responding and forgive me but I have no idea what all of this means, I have worked really hard to correct some really bad decisions in the past and i was an inch away from being in the really good, and then this shows up today, and I am panicked because i'm a month out of getting a house.

CRTP= Credit Reporting Time Period(the length of time something can remain on your CR)
DOFD= Date of First Delinquency(when you went delinquent and NEVER caught up)
DOLA= Date of Last Activity(when you made your last payment/purchase on the account)
OC= Original Creditor
CA=Collection Agency
EQ= Equifax
TU=TransUnion
EX=Experian
CSC= Equifax Company that some of us have to deal with instead of EQ
FCRA= Fair Credit Reporting Act(laws that CRAs and CAs must follow)
CRA=Credit Reporting Agencies(EQ, TU, EX)

Re: Anderson Fin /Bloom

Omg, lot of info to try and sink in, I will have to double check the dates, even if it is I guess I can assume this will take more than a month to get cleared up. If they are within the right dates then what? beg?...........just lost

If it is within CRTP then you can offer PFD(Pay for delete)

It may or may not take more than a month.

If this is 10 years old or more.......they are not within time limits. CRTP is set by DOFD and this is set by the OC and doesn't change unless you become current BEFORE charge off/collection.

What is SOL in your state? (SOL= Statute of Limitations)

Check your state here -

Re: Anderson Fin /Bloom

sidwinder,
I was incorrect, I just looked it up and this one states;

date last active: 2002
date assigned: 2004
date reported: 2007

This was a old phone bill from a college apt in my name, the statute is 6 years in my state, would this be a written agreement? or like a credit card which is 4 years

Where did you receive those dates?

I believe utilities(phone, electric, cable, etc) are considered open accounts. Not completely sure about that though.

Re: Anderson Fin /Bloom

Ok here is the situation I have, just checked my fico score and a Anderson Fin/Bloom credit agency has bought an old debt of mine. It was an old old phone number that was left in my name from college. This CA has just showed up and killed my score and I am shortly buying (trying) to buy a house, the date of last activity is July/02, has this run out os SOL or should I offer to PFD? please help.

dates listed on account:
date last active: 2002
date assigned: 2004
date reported: 2007
