Another Question (Sorry)

Sorry for all the questions today, but I need some more help.

I am in need of a sample letter to send to Experian concerning something on my credit report that is not accurate.  I disputed it once, but they will not let me dispute it again.

I used the search option up above, but I cannot find a sample letter for this.  Please help!  I found an address and fax number for them in the search, but no letter.

It is 2 inquiries that were not mine and one account that is not reported properly.

Thank you!

Do you want a non-authorized inq letter?

Re: Another Question (Sorry)

Actually I want a letter I can send to Experian to say that this was a bogus inquiry and also to say they got bad info on an account.  Whatever type of letter I need to send to Experian.

Thanks,

Re: Another Question (Sorry)

Here's a letter for the non-authorized inq. This letter should be sent to the party who harded you.

Tell me more about this bad info on an account.

Re: Another Question (Sorry)

Fused,

Thanks for the link.  I saw that on the forum, but I was wondering why I cannot go directly to the CRA and demand they remove it from my report for fradulent reasons.  If they do not, then I thought I could demand a written reason or proof from them within the 30 day timeframe.

Please correct me if I am wrong.  I just want to get rid of the middle man.  Thanks!

If you want to challenge EX after a failed dispute, the next step is an MOV/ITS (method of verification/intent to sue) letter combo but I don't think it's worth the trouble to do this over an inq.

Re: Another Question (Sorry)

Fused,

You are probably right, as normal.  I do have one last question for you (I know, another one Smiley Surprised) ).

I was not approved for a CC by Citi.  Can I contact them and ask them to change the code to a soft inquiry, since I did not get credit?  If it is ok to do this, then is it better to call or write?

Thank you.

Re: Another Question (Sorry)

You can call them and request this but it's not likely they will recode it.
