Anticipation for Lates to fall off!

I've been mostly gardening for awhile now with the occasional SP Disco CLI here and there just to pad my CCU. My boyfriend was always a 'pay cash for everything' fella and he finally decided to get a card to begrudgingly build/start his credit portfolio. It got me to do some thinking as I haven't pulled my credit reports in some time (no need to aside from monitoring here and there) so I pulled my annual three freebies, remembering I've had an old account that should be falling off sometime soon. Looks like I have two 120 day lates (card I completley forgot that I had that apparently had a tank of gas charged to it - yikes) still reporting that will be off my report (hopefully) in 07/2020. I have a great portfolio currently; sitting at 780/810 FAKOs, all current payments and a good auto and home loan right now, but I am so anxious to see the score jump and the reds marks disappear.

Is anyone else looking forward to baddies falling off their report this year?

Re: Anticipation for Lates to fall off!

Early Exclusion:

7 year (plus 180 days) mark is the DoFD exclusion date. You can request for EE Early Exclusion on your derogatory / delinquency from:

TransUnion - 6 months early.
Experian - 3 months early.
Equifax - 1 month early. I would not recommend requesting EE. Let derogatory / delinquency fall off naturally.

Call up TransUnion . Front line csr may be able to assist. If not, request to speak with a supervisor to have the delinquency / derogatory removed. You may not see a score improvement until the last late is removed. However, since EE request is a simple process might as well take advantage of it.

Re: Anticipation for Lates to fall off!

I may reach out to TU early, thank you for the heads up! Oddly enough, the late doesn't show on my Experian profile (the account shows, but shows as 'Paid, Closed/Never late', I'm not sure about my Equifax since the website crashed before the page loaded - I do have a message in to see if I can get a copy of it for free still yet.

Your signature shows a EQ 808 FICO 8 score? I would be interested to know if that is with the two 120 day lates?

$1 you can obtain your 3 bureau FICO 8 reports at Experian.com or creditchecktotal.com. Cancel in 7 day or less to avoid the re-occurring monthly charge.

Ah sorry those are my FAKOs. Thank you for pointing that out! I got a bonus and tax returns coming in so I'm going to throw that at a 9k balance I have on my NFCU card (all others have no carried balance) and then will likely pay for actual FICOs. Will post back shortly when it's all said and done, before the latest would be set to expire if they are on there.
