Re: Anyone apply for an AMEX card and asked for a CLI?

SandyK -  What's the difference between AmEx Blue and AmEx Clear?  I just got Blue, although the card itself is mostly clear and easy to lose. Smiley Surprised

Re: Anyone apply for an AMEX card and asked for a CLI?

I have a Blue card and asked for 4 or 5 CLI's and they never pulled a hard inq.  Just asked my income and gave me what I wanted.  Never spoke to anyone I just went online every time and tapped the LUV button.

Re: Anyone apply for an AMEX card and asked for a CLI?

masdeocho,

There really isn't much difference in the cards.  4.99% on balance transfers and NO FEES of any kind.   Automatic rewards is $25.00 (gift card I think)  every time you spend $2,500.00.   I don't know what the purchase APR is.  I just needed a card and I was advised to get this one because of the easy approval rate.

I have been warned about how clear the card is and to be sure to keep an eye on it because it draws attention and easy to lose!!  I will be using it for balance transfers only right now and to help with utilization.

Good luck!!  .

Obsessed,

I was near  700 or a little over 700 when I was approved for the Amex  Blue Cash Card in March, 2006.   Scores of 697-717 are favored for the Amex Blue Card.

masdeocho,

I know it will be invisible for me because I am not applying for anymore!  I hope to pay them all off and use only Blue Cash cause it's the favorite and best overall from what I hear!  Smiley Indifferent

How far apart did you space your cli requests?

About 6-8 weeks.  Online you cannot get a CLI more than once within 30 days.
