Anyone else scred to death of Cap 1?

I have 2 accts due to drop in 6 or 9 of 2009 they have never been sold or sent to a CA so I am not touching them, I haven't even disputed them now nor ever because I am scared of them.

I figured they haven't bothered me so I won't bother them.

Anyone else?

Fear not!

Don't ever dispute legit accounts....that is an easy way to ruin your day...esp. with CapOne.

Make sure you are outside SOL. If not, they'll jump on you at the last moment and sue.

If you want to settle your debt, save up and PIF at a later date, just know that they are not likely to accept a PFD.

I agree-  know your SOL. If the debts are very large they will probably sue just before SOL expires. If SOL has not expired, I'd be saving the money to PIF in case they do sue.

I got another year and a half before SOL runs out, so im going to pay it off with my stimulus check.  Im hoping they will let me get another card with them after I pay them off.

I guess I am fortunate, mine are way past SOL and due to drop off in june and august of 2009.

I wonder if I can get them to drop off before that?

You might even be able to get the accounts reinstated, since they are with the OC. Depends on what the rest of your CR reads...if you don't have any other baddies for the past couple years, that will work in your favor.

I don't want them back, I had the cards for 3 years, was NEVER late and NEVER had a CLI the limits were 200 and 350 whoopie!!!!!!!!!
