I would not be giving them any banking info... they make 'mistakes'.

Checking your other posts... are you trying to make a payment towards AMEX for the OASIS?  If so you can do it over the phone right to AMEX, partial or full.

Well I called Amex and they said I had to deal directly with NCO, and to ask them if I could get the Oasis offer. The guy at NCO who is holding my account, faxed me the letter, with the offer, and said he could break it into two payments, after which, I would receive an offer for an optima card with 1/2 of my old CL. He said I can make the payment over the phone with him. Would you do this? I guess I am just a little scared since people pretty much make NCO out to be the devil. Thanks!

Generally, they are worse than the devil.  In their collaboration with AMEX though it's OK to relax a little with it.  I definitely do recall the fact that at least at one time there was a special NCO department processing the AMEX OASIS accounts.  I just thought they scrapped it.

Did you ever get a formal letter inviting you into the program?

I would call OASIS again and play dumb and see if they will take the payment. Make sure you get names of who you spoke with there make sure they tell you that you are going to be in OASIS.  I don't anticipate a problem but it would really stink to pay NCO and find out that AMEX doesn't have you in the program currently.

At that point, if it turns out you do need to pay to NCO, as long as that letter details everything correctly... I would really only mail the full payment once you have it all together.

Not trying to deter you from doing what you are comfortable with, just pointing out that yeah be careful with NCO.

I'm sure that ultimately it will be fine, it's just that when I even read the name NCO my dog whimpers and cowers in a corner.

If you don't have the numbers for the AMEX OASIS program, here they are:
888-232-3261
800-843-2273
800-700-7619

I've got to give them a call, I have questions of my own regarding my own account.  I'll see what I can find out that might be helpful.
