I recently saw an article on this card. I don't use debit much but might as well earn Delta miles when I do.
Anyone have this card? They offer 5000 mile sign up bonus too.

Just noticed it has a $75 annual fee, probably not worth it then.

I had it but ended up just getting the bonus and some assorted miles from a few purchases and closing the account. The card was fine but the bank sucked. Here's the condensed version:
I was with BofA all in, business checking and personal checking and savings plus some investments. I saw a writeup on this card and as a Delta flyer I thought why not try it and add some more miles to the pile. Stopped in local branch and went over what I had right across the street with BofA. They were very happy to open an account and wanted all of my business. I asked what they needed to open the account and it was minimal, I asked what was needed for a balance to avoid monthly fees and then added a couple grand to that for my opening balance. I asked if a personal check from BofA would be fine or would it be held for a while, was promised it would not be held. I even offered to walk across the street and get a cashiers check just so there were no hangups but was again told no problem. Wrote the check, signed the papers and was off. Got card in a few days later. Set up online access that day and that's when I noticed the hold on the deposit.
Stopped in the branch to find out what's going on. They checked and confirmed the check was being held for at least 10 business days. What? But you told me... What do you mean you have no control? Hold on let me call BofA and make sure it cleared them. I called and the check cleared the day I wrote it and handed it to them. The very same day. I even got a copy faxed to the Sun Trust branch while I was standing there. No help. Sorry. 10 business days.
Now it's not like I needed the money. I just needed a banker to be strait. They could have said 10 day hold and I would have said fine. I just need to know. Closed the account when the check cleared, got cash out and walked across the street and put it back in BofA account with a smile and thank you.
I'm with Chase now, and my banker Mario calls me every couple of weeks to make sure all is wel if he does not see me in branch. Love my new bank. Would have still been at BofA if it were not for that decline on an auto loan after 18 years as a good customer with clear and good credit and multiple deposit accounts with very nice balances.
So the card is good. Bank is bad. Good luck.
Thanks for the reply. I wasn't planning to make them my primary bank, just thought I would open a checking account and put a few grand in the account to use for the few purchases where I have to use debit card to get the Delta Miles.
With the $75 annual fee you would have to spend quite a lot on it to recoup the fee so probbaly not worth it for me.
For someone that uses debit card often though it seems like a good card and the only card out there to offer any debit rewards.

If Delta Skymile is important to you, then you should consider Amex's Delta Gold Card. It has a 95$ annual fee (which is only 20$ higher than Suntrust's), but you get 30,000 sign-up bonus miles, which is more than enough for a round trip ticket to NYC. You also get priority boarding, first bag checked for free, and in-flight purchase discount. On top of that, the fee is waived in the first year. So, not a bad card to have if you want to earn some miles!
