Does anyone know how AMEX handles membership dates and if that effects the date of your card with your FICO aging of accounts? We had a BK 21 years ago with a small amount included for AMEX. This is the first time since then we have tried to open an account with them and they approved a card (AMEX BCE) with a $1K CL. Online it says member since 1991. Does anyone know if the date on my CBR will show '91 or 2018? If it's '91 I'll be very happy because we are about to lose a CC from 1979 and this would help tremendously! I'm guessing it won't report as such, but wondering if anyone knows for sure?
