A check of that size might take time to process.
My credit card typically reports the day after the new statement cuts, my auto loan reports the last day of the month.
I would imagine, a credit card will report like normal even after payoff; while a loan could potentially report once the check clears.
Keep an eye on CreditKarma or Experian, they both should trigger an alert when the account reports $Zero balance.

BECU will report on statement closing date. They do not report $0.00 balance, that's specific to Chase.
