Apartment Rental

I am moving to another state in Jan. Right now my Equifax score is 602..Experian is 577 and Im not sure what Transunion is. I am moving back to an apartment complex that I had lived in 2 years ago and at the time my credit was about the same. They allowed me to pay an additional deposit, and everything was great. My only problem is that I was recently denied an apartment in my current city because my score was too low..it has gone up since then. Do you all think that denial will effect my new apartment?

Re: Apartment Rental

It all depends on the apartment complex.  They could have raised their "standards"  However, if you had a good experience with them before and it is under the same management, that may help out a great bit.

The previous landlord will likely view a previous positive payment history more favorably than a FICO score.

Landlords may or may not pull one of your Big Three CRs, but they will almost certainly pull your report from one of the lesser known evils.

Do you still have the denial letter?
