Apple Card Reported as CLOSED!!!

I opened my Apple Card on 8/12 and added DH as an authorized user. He decided to app for his own card. He was approved. I instantly received a notification that the participant had been removed from the card. That was fine. 1st Statement cut 8/31 $0 balance but info not reported to CRA's . on 9/18 started receiving alerts about new account reporting . DS sent me a screenshot from CK that account reported but as CLOSED!! I went to EX and EQ and sure enough, the account was listed as closed. I reached out to Apple/GS support via the imessage chat feature in the wallet app. The CSR assured me that my account was active and open. I had been using the card all weekend. I even bought something online via ApplePay to verify the card was still active. The CSR advised me to start a dispute to have the information updated. My FICO score took a 11 point drop and my Vantage score to a 35 point drop. 

 

I called Apple/GS phone support this morning to verify what the chat agent told me. They confirmed that my account was active and open. They asked me about my DH being removed from the card. They asked if it was a joint account or was DH  just a Participant/Authorized user. I stated that DH was only an authorized user. CSR stated that when DH was removed it notated the account as if it was closed. CSR was putting in a dispute to have the information updated and that it can take up to 30 days for the dispute to be resolved.

 

Update 9/23 Goldman Sachs reached out to follow up. CSR stated that the information should be cleared up in about 10 days. After reviewing DH credit reports, my account is listed as closed on his report as well, and his own account is reporting. He's taking a hit in scores as well.I asked Rep if DH was removed as a AU the same day he applied for his own card, why did both accounts still report to the CRA's. He of course couldn't give me an anwser.

 

Update 9/30. Apple/GS finally reported the account as open 9/27 with my current balance of that day $191 🙄. I PIF on the 30th but it's not worth the trouble of fighting them over the reported balance. My actual August statement balance was $0. DH & DS credit reports also updated with the new information. DH still has 2 accounts listed on his credit report. I don't know if I should just leave it or dispute it for him. Goldman Sachs stated we couldn't be authorized users on each other's accounts. That we had had to combine the accounts  and create a joint account, yet the account is still reporting my account on DH CR.

UGH!  Sorry this happened @Libra85 

This is the first time I've heard of a scenario like this with an Apple/GS card but considering some of the other "reporting challenges" they've had before, I would suggest you stay on top of it.  Their reporting is always delayed by several weeks so I hope that doesn't ADD to the resolution time for you

That actually just happened to me as well.

Just got an alert that on august 31st GS closed my account…. But it’s not closed and I literally just ordered the new iPad mini with it yesterday.

Don’t know if it has to do with it but I had been unable to add my wife as authorized user because of a glitch. When I saw the alert and that everything was fine I decided to try to add her again and it worked this time, after months of not working.

Not sure what’s up.

I posted all my updates up thread. My account was finally reported as open on 9/27.
