Today I reached out to an apple representative to try to understand why is there a delay in their reporting. His response was "we always report on time don't look at those credit karma and Wallet hub, Turbotax app".
Seriously?
Me: Why are you insulting my intelligence, by the way, I'm referring to all 3 credit bureaus.
Agent: Oh I'm sorry I should've asked which company you use to get your reports.
Me: My score hasn't updated since August 30th can you look into this for me, please?
Agent: When did this just start happening, sir?
Me: It started a year ago and It's been going on since the Apple\Goldman sach partnership and it's happening to many of my business friends too.Agent: Did they tell you this?![]()
Me: If you must know I subscribe to the Fico forum and many people there want to know what's going on too.
Agent: Does this affect your score? In what way?![]()
Me: You can't be serious right now are you? Unless you work in the credit dept. you might not be aware of this issue so please forward my concern to them.
Agent: Okay I'll do that and because your score can be affected I'll start a dispute.
So I had to explain to him or her via text how a delayed report affects your score.
About 2 hours later around noon, my fico app alerted me that my Trans ,and my Exp got updated. When I check it was my Apple card update. Was that just a coincidence that my Apple score just got updated after speaking to someone?
Now that my apple card has finally reported we'll see what happens next month.
I just wrote an email to Tim Cook and GS CEO, on this very topic.
Explaining all my other creditors get it right, but GS is now, and consistently 45 days late. Affecting my score and utilization when not updating.
Apple mid-cycle reports confirmed ? : )
