Arrow Financial reporting incorrect information

I had an account with WAMU that was being paid by my consumer credit company.During this time they sold the account to Arrow Financial  The account paid off in Dec. 07, Arrow reported it as settled.  I finally got a letter from them saying it was paid in full in Dec. 07  Apparently in one of the many phone calls I made to get this letter I made someone mad and in March they put a KD on my credit report.  Is there anything I can do about this other than dispute it with the CRA's?

Re: Arrow Financial reporting incorrect information

I'm not a big fan of disputing, but I would try one of two things: First, I would try disputing via mail or fax (not online) and explain the situation and include any documentation (that letter) and ask the CRAs to delete. Another option would be to send a threatening letter (broad term but I've seen some in here pertaining to bad reporting) to the CA saying delete or else and include a copy of their letter. IMO, I would dispute.
