Asset Acceptence Co

Hi I have a judgement that was paid in 4/04 for 13000.00 that is on my credit report from Assect Acceptence. It just showed paid after being 3 years old. I pulled my credit report this year and noticed that they were still showing unpaid.  Is there anything I can do to possibly get this deleted off my credit report. Would I send a GW letter?  Has any one had any luck getting theirs removed? Do I have to go the courts with a GW Letter? Thanks for all your help

Re: Asset Acceptence Co

Dispute, dispute, dispute... Reason should be that it is inaccurate and should not be reporting as is. Don't offer to much info, make them investigate. If it comes back as verified, take a more aggressive approach and dispute again. Your goal should always be to remove inaccurate information this will have the best impact on FICOs.

Re: Asset Acceptence Co

They are supposed to either confirm or deny the debt is being reported correctly... CRAs can use their own systems to validate in order to be most efficient with their time... Google other credit boards for further assistance.

Re: Asset Acceptence Co

If you have proof it's paid send a copy of that along w/letter to Asset and send to both requesting them to report accurately.  The CRs are supposed to report accurate even though they don't always despite receiving proof.  It can be a frustrating road
