1) Depends on issuer, maybe, maybe not.

2)  Fico scores and utilization are numbers that are always changing.

They only count if you are trying to get a new CC or other loan, else it's just a number.

If your brother is going to pay it down before you need a loan, who cares ?

If this is an unusual occurrence, write it off as such

3)  If he often has high utilization.

You need to decide if it might be wise to be removed

Only you know if this a norm or unusual event

Re: Authorized User advise

I'll probably just remove myself... I'm at 8% total uti across all 3 bureaus with 6 accounts reporting on each and just reached 700 for the first time in my life and don't want to lose points after only a week.
My brother has no late payments or negatives ever on that account and always keep his UTI at around 20% but this one payment will just be the minimum payment at a 50% UTI on the card

Forget the 50%, the bolded part alone is probably not doing you any favors. Is this card a lot older than your own cards? If so, that could impact oldest and average ages. If not, then drop it.

Scores: March 21 FICO 8: EX 810, TU 808, EQ 813
AoOA: closed: 40 years, open: 30 years; AAoA: 14 years
Amex Gold, Amex Blue, Amex ED, Amex Delta Blue, Amex Hilton Surpass, BoA Platinum Plus, Chase Freedom Unlimited, Chase Amazon, Chase CSP, Chase United Explorer, Citi AA, Sync Lowes, total CL 203k

UT has no memory. So, if scores drop this month, and he PIF next month, scores will go back up.
