Hi all,

My wife has a high utilzation on one of her credit cards< 84%, so she took me off as a user. How long does it take to update on my credit report and should my score go up?

Re: Authorized User

Depends on the lender, most seem to update in 30-60 days. As for your score going up, it depends on the rest of your available credit. If your available credit is is a better ratio without this card, your score can go up. But, you score can also be hurt if you don't have a lot of older cards, and the removed AU card will then lower your overall card age and credit score.
