Authorized Users Reporting

Since I am new to all of this I might be mistaken and I may be looking at some isolated cases. With the exception of Walmart I have had no problem getting my SO to pick up a couple of TL's on her credit reports. TU just won't pick this line up no matter how many times I try to add. She has the same address as I do.

I thought I had added my children as AU on a couple of lines until my DD showed me her EX yesterday. They do have my last name but not my address. None of the bureaus have picked them up as AU.

This must be in response to the abusive selling of seasoned tradelines. Anyone else experiencing this?

Re: Authorized Users Reporting

Do your kids have your home address showing as one of their former addresses?

Re: Authorized Users Reporting

On the AU accounts on their CR does it show AU then your name attached to it? Just wondering if the AU is tagged to you (master card holder) in any identifiable way. Thanks.

Re: Authorized Users Reporting

On the accounts my spouse added me as an AU on, it doesn't mentioned any name, just says Authorized User.

Same has been for some accounts on a friends report where they are AU.

Re: Authorized Users Reporting

Guys my kids reports have no record of my attempt to make them AU on my cards. My GF's reports clearly show them but it is as if I didn't make my kids AU on the cards at all. Not on their reports. Might be addressed based as Hauling has eluded to. Strange that address trumps same last name.

Re: Authorized Users Reporting

It may seem that some info is being stored from the original account holder to verify that addresses match or name what ever. How can we identify what is stored? Something has to be stored right, otherwise AUs wouldn't be rejected. Or score could not tell if someone bought them? Any ideas how this info is identified.. There has to be a link to the master account holder somewhere?

Re: Authorized Users Reporting

In addition to this Transunion did not pick up my Walmart card on her report as an authorized user. They did pick up my Chase and Citi cards though.

TU has her birthday off by more than 9 years. This is being taken care of now.

Hopefully that info isn't coming from Lexis/Nexis because they have my birth year off by two years. That's a free report everyone needs to get for themselves. I have never seen so many inaccuracies in my life. They seem to care more about the income of the old lady who used to live downstairs from me 35 years ago than you do in getting my info correct.
