Authorized user question.

I noticed on my credit card accounts it lets me add an authorized user. But I noticed none of them ask for a SSN.

So if I added say, my GF as an AU, how would they report it without her SSN being needed?

Some cc issuers use name and address to report

Indeed just the name AFAIK.

Pin the tail on the donkey!  Blindfold and everything: does land on the correct report a surprisingly high number of times, but when it doesn't, SSN is pretty much mandated.

Just make sure that if you add her both of you understand the following:

Any late payments, will show up on both reports

Any over limits will show up on both reports

Any maxed out cards (that she is an AU on) will show up on both reports

The account age might be a detriment to her if it is a new account
