So I looking for an installment loan to show on my report. I saw somewhere that helps. Does avant have a early pay off fee or anything of the sort. My plan was to get the loan and use the loan to pay it back. And maybe pay a little in interest since ive seen some of their rates. Good plan or bad idea? Don't need the loan. Just need the history. Need some insight. Im still new to this.

If you don't need the loan why don't you go to a CU (Credit Union) and hand them $500 to get a secure loan which will do the same thing the Avant loan will do. The CU is a much much better option IMO.
I don't know if i can because. I was a victim of a check fraud because im an idiot. Cashed a bad check and now i burned a CU for 3k. Idk if i can go to one now =/

So is it on Chexsystems? Do you have any checking or savings account? I will tell you why I asked once you respond.
Contact the creditor before you apply and ask whether they have a prepayment penalty clause in their loan contract.
I have no idea on chexsystems. Actually I have a checkings.

Chexsystems is used when you are opening a checking account to see if you owe a bank. If you are able to have a checking account, then you should be able to open a savings account with a CU with $5 and then do the secured loan for $500. There are several CUs... I'd give it a short if I were yu before going for a loan with Avant.
Ive been seeing that dcu seems like a pretty nice credit union but idk if i would be approved with my score. I think they pull EQ.

For membership, you should be able to join. That is why you are doing a secure loan to improve your profile. Before doing anything, give them a call. But joining shouldn't be a problem..
What about NFCU? Any Armed Forces ties? -Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy.
Okay I will give them a call to see so i can help myself out. As Far as military ties no. My grandfather and uncle but they are passed away.
