Ok.. Definately give them a call.  As for NFCU, I think you may be able to join through your lineage if there is paperwork....  Not sure but will leave that question for people who have accounts with them...

Avant reports as a consumer finance account, so it will not help your credit the way a traditional installment loan does. It will have the opposite effect.
