@FalconSteve wrote:FICO scoring still has a memory with some scores. Also, that change was due to be implemented years ago... why would I expect that they actually followed through, instead of leaving it up to the banks to decide if they're going to pro-actively start using trending scores... talk about stupid on my part.
When you wrote, "FICO scoring still has a memory with some scores." Can you be more specific; I have seen no evidence of this anywhere.

I categorically refuse to do AZEO!

Why did you even bother posting that? All it did was confirm what several of us have said above, the only FICO score which trends is 10T. Now, if you think there are other FICO scores which trend, please, school us.

It's called evidence. Why are you being so hostile?

Evidence of what? That my statements on the subject were correct and that you incorrectly call me out for stating something untrue? Yes, it does that.

It's evidence against your position. It's not hostile for@Horseshoez to point out the disconnect between what you're claiming and what the article you linked to says.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I have clearly stated the only FICO score which trends is 10T, and that is what the link states as well. How does that constitute evidence against my position?

Ahhh, sorry, my bad.

Just to summarize what we know, because I think it's been obscured a bit:
The only credit scores that support trending data are FICO 10T and VantageScore 4.0. When these come into widespread use, the old adage that "utilization has no memory" will no longer be true. But while FICO 10T and VS 4.0 have been approved to become the new mortgage scores, that's at least 2 years out. And since most credit card lenders haven't even moved to FICO 9, widespread adoption of trended scores in the credit card industry will likely take even longer. The only exception I'm aware of at the moment is Synchrony, who provide access to VS 4.0 for their cardholders, and may use it in lending decisions.
