BEST AND EASY LINES OF CREDIT

Since December. I have been micro managing my credit. I’ve paid off 3 of cards and my dti is now 25%. Transunion is 669. Experian: 709. In the next couple of weeks my scores should rise because I have paid off 2 more cards. I’m looking to build a solid credit portfolio with lines of credit so that I can have the necessary liquid I need for my business and personal use with throwing my dti out of control. Any suggestions on credit unions or banks that are pretty easy on approvals? For some odd reason my Equifax won’t update but shows when consumers run it.

Re: BEST AND EASY LINES OF CREDIT

I'm not sure that I would consider any LOCs "easy".  If you have military affiliation, I would say NFCU's CLOC would be "easiest" as I have seen people approved with scores on the lower side with other blemishes on their profile.  Their max is only 15k though and you are probably looking for more if you want to do business/personal combined.

US Bank goes to 25k but I know they pulled TU 4 on me for my PLOC which is most often the lowest score of many profiles it seems.  I also know that I was unable to apply until I had 6 months of a relationship with them.  I had an in branch appointment before that 6 months and I was turned away by the branch manager.  My personal banker ended up calling me when I was eligible to apply.

I know of others that are lower APRs but I'm not real familiar with the requirements.  I'll let some of the others chime in that have these products or know what the requirements are.

It would also be helpful to know your other stats as well such as #inquiries, new accounts, etc.

Re: BEST AND EASY LINES OF CREDIT

NFCU was the easiest by far with a $15K instant approval.

BECU was easy with a $10K instant approval.

After 90 days I was able to get $10K with Penfed instant approval. I’ve tried to raise it several times over a year but declined.

SSFCU - Instant $5k, declined for more after 6 months.

RBFCU - Declined

Langley FCU - Declined
