BOA accts reverting from status of "BK" to "Charge off"

In the last two weeks, my wife and I each had a BOA account that was discharged in BK two years ago change status at EQ (Actually CSC) for no reason. Each account was properly reported as "BK" status and then changed to "Charge off".

I became aware of these changes via [-12 point] alerts from MyFICO's EQ Score Watch. The accounts did NOT have a status change at either EX or TU when these CSC changes occurred.

We immediately disputed and are awaiting the responses.

Has anybody else seen this happen?

Any ideas why?

Not sure why except that in BOFAs last update they may have run old tapes.  Call BOFA and make them aware of it.  You may get the runaround that they never received BK papers and be asked to forward a copy of your paperwork showing that they were included.
