BOA inquiry falling off of Experian after a week?

So I applied for a Bankamericard, I got the 7-10 day message. Inquiry popped up on my Experian report.

I later got a letter in mail thinking I was declined, but it told me to call a number for more information. Called them, and they just said there's a lot of fraud going on, so they just had to double check some of my info.

After placing me on hold, I got approved with a line of 3700,  but perhaps what's most weird/exciting is today the BOA Inquiry fell off of my Experian report.

Has this ever happened to anyone else, and why would it happen?

My guess is that the inquiry will re-appear shortly, it's probably some kind of a reporting glitch.

Congrats on your approval. Yeah, it will probably show back up, but here's hoping it doesn't.

I'm thinking there might possibly have been a process breakdown within BoA where someone jumped the gun and processed an inquiry withdrawal request before the fraud detection team finished confirming that the application was in fact legitimate.

The sleeping dog may or may not left to lie, cross your fingers and hope for the best.
