Balance Transfer on a Secured Card

I haven't been able to find this answer online, and if this is in the forums already & I haven't found it or I'm posting in the wrong place - I'm sorry!!

I'm trying to figure out if I can balance transfer over a balance from a secured card, to an unsecured card. I just got approved for the fidelity rewards visa, and did about 5 balance transfers from my starter/rebuilding cards, and was hesitant to try a transfer from a secured card. Does anyone know if this is allowed- or how it could affect me?

Thank you!

Re: Balance Transfer on a Secured Card

Although I can't say from personal experience, I can't think of any reason that a balance transfer would not be allowed.

If you think of a BT as just a "payment" to a credit account, the original lender doesn't really care who pays them - he's getting paid, that's it. Chances are that no one is watching anyway - it's all debits and credits within their computers unless there is an "issue" such as non-payment and I suspect minor late payments are still handled by the computers (reminder notices, late fee, etc).

.Although I've never had a secured card, even during my rebuild, I've never had a BT refused or rejected
