Balance transfer ?

What’s up myfico brethren’s I was wondering if I do a balance transfer would it show as a bt payment or as a payment like if I paid it myself on the card statement for the receiving card thanks

To the bank you are transferring to they will know its a BT, the bank getting paid off most likely will not know its a BT.

I've often wondered this myself actually. And whether the CC you're paying off prefers the cash from checking instad of you using a BT?

In the end it all works out I guess. Even if you pay off CC A with CC B, the Balance remain the same on your CR. Hence no change to score.

It really is only useful if you're paying off a "Charge Card", where it's PIF, with a Credit Card that can be paid over time.
