Re: Barclays FICO Score Accuracy

I'm basically in the pics or it didn't happen camp when it comes to DCU pulling anything other than EQ and explicitly not using FICO 5 as their UW benchmark.

Not saying it didn't happen but I sort of want to see screenshots before thinking otherwise, we have literally thousands of datapoints stacked against it.

I guess a question would be, is this one of their DCU-offered products or is this a partner product / underwrite?  DCU does have some 3rd party offerings like student loans for example.

Was curious so answered my own question: Student Line of Credit is the same as their Student Loans.  Processed by:

Third party, not DCU underwriting hence different score might be used than the DCU standard.

@Revelate, I'll have to do some digging for mine.  This was from Sept 2015, though.   Moot point given the timeframe?

Re: Barclays FICO Score Accuracy

@FinStar: What product was it specifically?

That CD/DCU is a suspiciously formatted inquiry name, namely I have only seen that for third party pullers during my mortgage process.

If it helps it says:

"University Accounting Services will be responsible for servicing the private education line of credit after the first is made to the school."

Just wanted to give a little feedback on Barclays FICO Score accuracy. Recently when I logged into my Barclays Aviator account my Transunion FICO Score jumped to 723 which I thought wasn't very accurate but wasn't 100% sure because my next full Experian report doesn't come for another 28 days which includes Equifax and Transunion. Well today I applied for a student line of credit through DCU, which pulled my Transunion, and to my surpise was 723 when they pulled it. I didn't think my score was that high but I'll take it.

If it is a TU fico 08 score, it will be the same, no matter who pulls it. If you pull 3b fico 08 scores on the myfico site and then immediately go pull 3b fico 08 scores at creditcheck total, the scores will be the same. The TU score will be the same at both places, as will the EX, and EQ. If you have 10 different places that can provide a TU fico 08 the same day, they will all return the same score if nothing new hits your report between the pulls. The 3 CRA's might, and usually do differ due to not having all the same data reported to all 3.

TU fico08=841 03/29/26
EX fico08=835 04/11/26
EQ fico09=820 04/01/26
EX fico09=799 06/16/24
EQ fico bankcard08=838 06/16/24
TU Fico Bankcard 08=847 06/16/24
EQ NG1 fico=802 04/17/21
EQ Resilience index score=58 03/09/21
Unknown score from EX=784 used by Cap1 07/10/20

This was for the DCU Platinum Rewards Visa.
