Re: Barclays FICO Score Accuracy

Just wanted to give a little feedback on Barclays FICO Score accuracy. Recently when I logged into my Barclays Aviator account my Transunion FICO Score jumped to 723 which I thought wasn't very accurate but wasn't 100% sure because my next full Experian report doesn't come for another 28 days which includes Equifax and Transunion. Well today I applied for a student line of credit through DCU, which pulled my Transunion, and to my surpise was 723 when they pulled it. I didn't think my score was that high but I'll take it.

All FICO scores are accurate.  There are only 3 pieces of data that go into a score.  The scoring model used, the bureau data used and the point in time where these first 2 pieces of data were used.  Two scores generated from different sources at the same time that use the same FICO scoring model and bureau data will exactly match.  Any time you see two scores generated at the same exact time that don't match, it means either the scoring model and/or the bureau data used was different.  Any time you see two scores that don't match that did use the same scoring model and bureau data, it means they were generated at different points in time (thus the data wasn't identical).
