Best bank with Bill pay

So, like most of us, we have a lot of accounts to watch over, and i don't like logging into 20 somethin different accounts to make sure everything is good. What bank has the best website, and iPhone app for everything, bill pay, balances, transactions etc. Which one has the overall best experience? Litterally am at a drag right now i don't really like chase's and want to change. FYI, this is the only thing that keeps me at a bank, the bill paying experience.

What do you all think?

You don't even want to know how many cards i've got....

Whatever bank you have probably has bill pay.  Unless you have problems with your current bank, I'd say stick with whatever bank you're currently using. But set up a "Mint" acct so that you can log onto one site to see where you stand.

Having said all that, there's a link for Discover's new free checking account, with a $50 sign up bonus, that I found in this forum https://www.discover.com/online-banking/checking-lp-lng-01/?src=S00000AZU&cde=S00000AZU

Re: Best bank with Bill pay

I don't have a discover card... I know.. the one and only, is there any other viable way to get the checking? I see that it asks if i have a previous bank account or credit card login to start. No other option for someone that has neither. I thought about doing a savings first, because it will let me do that, but i have to deposit $500 to open, and i don't want to have to move that kind of money around if i don't like Discover.

You have good scores and this is available until 10/2014.  Why don't you click on one of the links to apply for the card first and once you're approved, apply for the account. You get your free TU FICO score with the Discover card so it's not a bad card to have.

Re: Best bank with Bill pay

I have tried several banks and CUs over the years and I have to say USAA is by far the best I've ever used.  The Bill Pay is almost perfect.  The Android app is superb (I assume the iOS app is as well) and they don't nickle and dime you to death with fees.

I compare them against Wells Fargo, PSECU (still in testing phase but so far USAA wins easily), NFCU, Simple Bank, and Members 1st CU.

The biggest thing I do though is not through my bank.  I use MoneyDance to keep track of my bills and accounts.  As long as MoneyDance agrees with the bank, I know there's no fraud and all my bills are paid.   I highly recommend something like MoneyDance or Quicken to keep track of your finances.

It's not a bill pay solution but I'd also suggest Mint for this.

I can't tell you what's best as I haven't used every bank out there but I have also been very happy with USAA's bill pay though I generally don't use it except for bills that don't have their own payment site.

Given the subjective nature of best on any topic it would help if you'd explain exactly what you're looking for in bill pay and how Chase is lacking for you.

Re: Best bank with Bill pay

I will have to agree that USAA has an excellent bill pay service.  I've been with them for 12 years and have seen through out the years the improvments they have made.  I have all of my accounts (and I do have a few) synched to USAA except three of them.  That's because USAA doesn't have the banks of these cards listed in their database I assume.  I even have my investment account listed as well as my other bank accounts from Navy Federal.  I can see everything and update the accounts at the push of a button.  The app is really good too.  Everyone is not eligible for USAA unless you were in the military or you have an immediate family member who's a member and you can join through them.

SgtT77,  Even if the payee is not in their database you can still add them manually.  They will mail a check for you (and you get the image of the canceled check when it clears).  I have one payee like this.

Citi has amazing bill pay service. Citi's website has a lot of functionality and is very user friendly, glad i switched from a local bank about a year ago. not sure if its the "best" but i have a chase checking account as well and i prefer citis much more.

Re: Best bank with Bill pay

I've used billpay services from Chase, Citi, Ally, US Bank, Amex Serve, they pretty much work in the same way, except Chase. Chase's billpay is the worst.
