No SOL on collecting on the debt, they can keep sending letters forever.   Just let them know you are aware of the your State's SOL and always keep an eye over your shoulder so they don't try and sneak a default judgment on you, or try to slip in on your Credit Report.

Your right about that, but once they realize you will respond and they can't validate, they usually move on to the next victim.  I never had an account with Sears.  They count on you not responding so they can put pressure on you through suing, your credit report and FICO score.
