BofA CRA reporting

I have been reviewing my CR from 4/5/12 that I pulled from ACR/EXP. I notice that on there there is no TL for BofA CC Student card that I am joint on. I checked my 8/2/11 ACR/TU CR and it is on there. My USAA CCMP shows it on all 3. From what I understood the ACR report info should be the same as USAA. Is there another reason for this? Should I be worried about getting it reported on my CR from EXP?

Re: BofA CRA reporting

Kinda hard to follow all the acronym parties, but if your question is whether a creditor is obligated to report the same information to all CRAs, the answer is no.

They may report to none, one, two, or more, at their sole discretion.

Sometimes credit reporting services/monitoring can mis~report what is pulled from the CRAs.    Probably the best thing for you do to is to pull your report directly from the CRA so that you'll know what is reporting, and also know what accounts FICO is scoring.

Re: BofA CRA reporting

Your best bet is to get your credit report's from annualcreditreport.com it is a web site officially sponsored by all 3 major credit bureaus and is absolutely free. Any other web site that you go to that says free may charge you. Your score of course is a fee. Go get your reports from that site and see if it is on there. Althugh some companies only report  to 1, or 2  bureaus at times. I know for a fact that boa reports to all 3 bureaus. If you get your reports again in its not on there call boa customer service and ask them to send a update to the bureaus.I used to have a boa card that's how I know they report to all 3.

Re: BofA CRA reporting

+1

Not only is annualcreditreport.com sponsored by all three of the major CRAs, it is also sanctioned by the FTC as the approved means for the Big 3 to fulfill their requirement to provide a free CR every 12 months.  Based on that fact, their CRs seem to be much more comprehensive.

Just remember that it IS also a commercial site, and they will try to get your $$.  They will offer to sell you a score.  Just say no and leave with your CR if you dont want a score.

The FCRA only entitles you to a free CR, not an accompanying score.

Re: BofA CRA reporting

The ACR (Annualcreditreport.com) report from EXP doesn't show the tradeline, although TransUnion from 8/11 does. I am joint on the account with DW, and it shows on her 4/5/12 EXP report from ACR.
