Building Credit history

Hello!

I'm looking for some guidance on building up my credit history.

Background:

FICO8 Scores:

EQU - 699

EXP - 693

Oldest account: 5 years

Debt: 1 vehicle loan

Credit Cards: Just got approved for first ever card (Discover It)

Is there any main focal points when building a good credit history? Especially with being new to cc's. Not sure on what the best approach is.

Thanks in advance for any insight and help!

Congratulations.

1.  Don't make too many applications.

2.  Pay in full each month.

3.  Keep the reported balances low.

Re: Building Credit history

@BioRadarIs the Disco your only card? You have 1 loan. Dont need any more. Any past baddies? In time. Its 3 cards and a loan for best rebuilding blocks. Lay the foundation and go from there. Its a marathin and not a race. Congrats on your Disco.

Congratulations.

Appreciate it!

Sounds good, just sounds like I need to keep doing what I'm doing currently and not get ahead of myself with applications, etc.

Yep that's my only card, and no past baddies. Have never missed a payment or anything.

Appreciate the advice, so I'll just play the long game and not get ahead of myself. Just slowly working my way there.
