CA Question

Is Date Last Active the same as DOFD?

Is this the Date used to figure the 7 years for collections?

Thanks,

Thanks,

Two different things. DOFD or Date of First Delinquency is not the same of Date of Last Activity (DOLA). For example, you can have a CO with a DOFD of 2002. If you make a payment in 2008, then the DOFD will still be 2002 but the DOLA is 2008. DOFD would start the clock on the 7 yr CRTP.

Some say that EQ uses DOLA rather than DOFD, but this never has been the case with me.

This used to confuse me as well.

What that means is on your EQ report......the DOLA field will/should have the same date as the other reports have for DOFD.

It is still the same date, but EQ reports it as DOLA.
