CA continues to call after C&D's and successful deletion--HELP!

What can I do? Asset Acceptance continues to call and harass me for a bogus 7 year old debt, (Texas SOL is 4yrs) that I successfully had deleted from my credit files and successfully got deleted from my credit report. What are my options? Please help.. these slimy bastards are seriously harassing me. Also, as a side note, has anyone sent an ITS letter that demanded money from the CA as a settlement so that you don't sue? Do you think this would work?

did you send a DV to them?

Did you send C&D CMRRR. If so keep it handy.

Make note of every phone call  date time & person that called. If on caller ID  take a pic. of it.

If you have caller ID  do not answer it. just make note & pic.

Yes I did all the standard C&D, CMRRR, DV, and got a full deletion because it was truly bogus, and these scum are STILL calling, even though it's not even on my credit anymore.

Just because it was deleted from your CR doesn't mean that the debt isn't still owed...

Send the standard Cease and Desist calling at home, work, etc. Require that all communication be sent via US Poast.

Well, if they aren't obeying the original C&D why would they now? I'm trying to figure out what I should do to these folks. Also, if there was a deletion, and they think I still owe it, can they put it back on my CR?

I don't think that they can once it's beyond the SOL and they haven't been able to produce appropriate validation. If they do however find the validation requested they can re-report with the standard excuse of Bon-afide error.

If you enter into an agreement to repay the debt, MAKE SURE you make them agree in writing not to report to CRAs during or after a successful repayment plan.

Happens all the time.

Call your AG's office. You have a right to sue them also.

I guess they may be in violation if the OP has the Green Card on the C&D letter. But what else?
