One CA called my work place and after a lengthy conversation, I told them they could not call my work anymore. It appears they complied with my request for about two weeks and then started calling again yesterday. Today, they called twice and I told them I already said not to call here. I know by law that they are suppose to comply with my request.
At this point, what can I do? I have saved two voicemails from this CA so far.
Write them a letter and tell them not to call your work that your boss does not allow it. If they continue, document each time they call, send them an ITS.
Unless this debt is beyond SOL and you are not worried about being sued, do NOT send a cease and desist.
Do send a letter stating no calls at work, but don't send a full cease and desist because then they have 1 option left-- file suit.
Thank you, everyone! I will write a letter stating I do not want them to call. The calls have actually stopped, for the time being. I think the call is coming from an outsourced call center because I've told a CA before (not the same one) long time ago not to call my work place and they stopped it immediately so this particular person may not be aware of the laws here. Anyhow, thanks for the guidance everyone. I really appreciate it!
